“My weight has always been a constant battle. I have been from 140lbs all the way up to my heaviest of 200lbs. My husband started at CrossFit Princeton first. For months he begged me to come and check it out but I was too scared. The word Crossfit TERRIFIED me! I was one of those people that though I had to already be fit to do CrossFit. My aha moment came in 2014 after my dad suffered a major heart attack and quadruple bypass. While spending countless hours in waiting rooms with family, one thing was very clear, our entire family had some sort of heart disease. I knew yo-yo dieting and calorie restricting was no longer going to cut it so I went to CFP with my husband and the rest is history. It changed both of our lives and it can change yours too!”

John at age 38 decided it was time for him to get healthy so he can live a longer, fuller life. He came to us less than a year ago. John has lost over 65 pounds, 12+ inches off his waist, and 10% body fat!

CrossFit Princeton has helped him with all aspects of living a healthier lifestyle. We’ve helped him with proper nutrition, proper form with strength training, improving flexibility and metabolic conditioning.

“This is typically something I don’t do but over the summer fitness has become a huge part of my life. After spending the past few months training at CrossFit Princeton and participating in ab challenges and work outs, I am very happy with the results so far. This has shown me what proper eating and exercise can do. This is only the beginning of what I hope is a life long fitness journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes me 💪🏻”

“It wouldn’t happen if it weren’t for CFP with the time you’ve put into the plan, workouts, and dealing with me peeing twelve times before you’re allowed to weigh me and helping with the kids so I can get a workout in. I can’t thank y’all enough for everything you do for me and my family! This is the place to be y’all!”

“While the goals of my cf journey have changed drastically since I first started in 2014, I have gained so much more at CFP than I could have ever imagined.. The community of CrossFit and the people of CFP have become like a second family that offers support in and out of the box.. The positive environment is a place that I can take my kids that not only offers them the opportunity to grow into athletes but promotes a positive lifestyle for my family. I know whatever life throws at me I can walk in and sweat it out. Busy mom life makes it near impossible at times to devote the time some would think needed to be “fit” but the encouragement you receive walking in the door and the friends that check on you when they haven’t seen you in the box in a while, keeps me motivated and molding me into the healthy fit mom I long to be.”

My name is Madi and I started CrossFit about 4 months ago? In the past I suffered from an eating disorder anorexia, but gained a lot of weight back to the point where I was on the opposite end of the scale, being obese. I went to my doctor and I just couldn’t believe what I kept seeing on the scale I was over 200 lbs. I knew I had to do something about it, but food was my comfort in life and I turned to it when I was stressed out, sad and depressed. But when I saw the ad on Facebook to join a challenge for 6wks I was excited because I am very competitive. So I contacted Mark (the owner/coach). He explained what time classes would be and what it would be like. I loved how I could contact the trainer personally on his phone, it made it special and gave me more motivation. So when the time came I started the challenge, and let me tell you I could not even do a squat I was winded and out of breathe after just doing two of them. I loved how there was also other people who was in the challenge who was just starting also, so it didn’t seem too discouraging that I couldn’t do many things. But the trainer knows and understands not everyone is at the same skill level and will modify the workout to fit your ability. I worked a job when I started CrossFit, but I made time for CrossFit because I loved the uplifting and positive attitude and encouragement I received after completing a workout. The praise of a good job is the best feeling in the world, I have seeked the praise of someone saying they are proud of me my whole life or that I did a great job. So, every day after work I went to CrossFit and received encouragement, and made new friends. Later on, I became stronger and was able to turn my food addiction of over indulgence to a healthy balance and a workout that was challenging and rewarding. I keep going to CrossFit because when my life feels like it is falling apart I can count on the gym, my friends, the music, the workout to make me feel better. It was a great escape from life for a while and very rewarding, I gained a lot of confidence. And it doesn’t matter at CrossFit Princeton if your skinny, fat, never worked out , or super fit they are all rooting for you and are just happy to see you out there trying your best.

My name is Joyce. I started crossfit because I woke up one day and couldn’t find any clothes that fit right. I began to notice just how tired I felt all the time, and was at an all time high in weight. I was just not happy with myself. My kids were always my excuse not to work out, now I just bring them with me. They are able to work out with me! In just 5 months at CFP, I feel more like me than I have in years. All of my clothes fit again and I like looking in the morror once more. I am happy with myself. The coaches and other members are amazing and supportive while pushing you to be your very best. Joining Crossfit Princeton is the best choice I’ve made in a long time!

Starting my CrossFit journey in July of 2019 has been a life-altering change. I first started CrossFit with my brother, who invited me to join a 6-week challenge being hosted by CrossFit Princeton. I contacted the coaches and set up a time to meet with them. I have been hooked since! There were things that had to be modified for me throughout the challenge and can be modified to any fitness level. The coaches here are amazing! I love being able to reach out to any of them with questions or ask for advice on a lift or how to improve something I’m struggling with. Each and every member of this box has welcomed me in and I’ve made some amazing friends throughout this journey, and it’s just beginning! I’m happier, healthier, and enjoying life more! The environment is electric. You walk in and you see new and familiar faces alike. They all encourage you to push yourself and perform at your best! You will learn to push yourself farther than you ever thought you could! The sense of community and the feelings of accomplishment, pride, and enjoyment are all felt in this box on a daily basis! It’s truly an amazing environment! Come out and join in on the fun!

I’ve always wanted to be the girl who works out all the time. I never played sports in school but I was always up for a challenge, I enjoyed being active. When I had my son in 2011, I tried getting in shape on my own by running and doing insanity workout DVDs but I just couldnt find anything that would stick and become a lifestyle. I had heard about CrossFit but didnt know anyone who had done it before and no one to start it with me. After talking myself into it, I showed up for my first class. It was packed but everyone was very welcoming and helpful. I couldnt do many things that were supposed to be in the workout that day so they changed it to things that I could do. I still worked out along side the ‘veterans’ in class and I was encouraged. I saw people doing pull-ups and handstand push-ups, squatting with heavy weight and I couldnt get over the feeling of ‘I want to do that someday’ so I showed up, worked my butt off (and put a butt on 😏) I was asked to do my first competition on a team and I was so nervous but decided to give it a try. Handstand walks was in the competition, I showed up alongside my team watching the heat’s go before us. Everyone looked so fit and they were walking on their hands like pros and I just fell on my head a couple times 🤷‍♀️ when I got back to the gym that week something had changed, I decided I didnt need that drink of water in the middle of the workout, I would survive without it and get a few more reps in. From that point on I worked on handstand walks and after several failed attempts, one day it just clicked and now I can do them just as good as the ones who inspired me. Then I set a new goal, then a new one after that. Four years later I’m still setting goals and hitting them. I love CrossFit, it is part of my life and so are the people at CrossFit Princeton. These people are my family and my best friends. If you’ve ever thought about joining our community, I promise you will thank yourself for it. My son comes to the gym with me and he sees my hard work, just like the other mommas in here. Our kids see us work hard and I am confident it will be a big part of their lives as they grow older as well. It is also important to mention that not everyone has the same goals as me and not everyone will have the same journey. I love to compete and I have worked hard to do that, I’ve brought several awards and trophies back to CFP and I put my blood sweat and tears into this place. After I had my son, I weighed 150lbs (no muscle), starting crossfit I weight 115lbs (no muscle) and fast forward to today I weigh a very different and much better looking 155lbs. The scale means nothing so don’t focus on it or be scared of it. You get out of CrossFit what you put into it and I’ll say one more time, you won’t regret it.
My entire life I have been a smaller guy. Since high school well into my 30’s i weighed 130 lbs. I’ve always viewed myself as weak and little. I even tried turning to drugs and alcohol to change the problem of my twisted image of myself. At 33 years old I was saved and set free from drugs by accepting Jesus into my life. Without the drugs i felt better about myself and my self worth went up, a lot!! While thoughts of myself inside were great, i wanted to start working on the outer me. I tried running on a treadmill and lifting weights but it wasn’t enough for me. I never felt like accomplished anything. It was then i happened across CrossFit Princeton’s Facebook page and decided to go try it out. The morning after that first class i was definitely sore, but it felt like I had overcame every mountain of self pity I ever had!! That’s why I keep coming back!!
